Truss Park with Snow

I stopped at Truss Park to see the snow today and to see if the Mallard Ducks were still there.  They were along with a lot of birds.  There were some very pretty red birds.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Camera Lessons

I found a great site with some basic camera lessons.  Check it out.  I hope it helps you out.

Christmas Tree

This is my Christmas tree with all of the lights and presents.  I didn't think I would ever get it up.  I brought the tree last year after Christmas.  Dumb Dumb me, I didn't take it out of the box.  When I did this year there was three strings of lights out.  The company sent me three new strings, but it took so long to get here that my husband played around one evening for about two hours, but he got them working.

On a good note, my son helped me put the ornaments on this year.  I collect Hallmark Ornaments so there are lots of memories in them.  It was fun and I will remember it for a long time.

I hope everyone has a great day.

My Son

My son will kill me if he finds out I posted this so don't tell.  This is Christmas morning after all of the stockings had been opened.  We opened the presents on Christmas Eve.   The Nexus Tablet beside him was his Christmas gift.

I have loved having him home for Christmas break.  I will miss him when he goes back to college in a week.  But spring break will be here soon.

Have a great day.

M&Ms

What is your favorite kind of M&Ms?  They have came out with so many recently.  Let me know what your favorite is.

At Thanksgiving, I fell in love with the Candy Corn ones.  I wish they would offer them year round.  I have one bag left and I am trying to save them for as long as possible.

Then came Christmas and the Cherry Cordial and Mints came out.  Just delicious.

I hope you don't gain weigh reading this.

Have a great day.

Violet

I have never been going with plants.  My Mother and Grandmother always had flowers every where during the summer and in every room during the winter months.

When my Grandmother died a few years ago, my  Mother told me to bring the violets home because she had never been able to keep African Violets alive.

I brought them home with no hope of them surviving.  I started with three.  I know have over 20 plants now.  I love that I started with my Grandmother's plants.  This is one of the original plants.

Thank you for letting me share a picture of one of the violets and a memory of my Grandmother Gunter.  Even though, I didn't know her as well as my other Grandmother (they died two weeks a part), I still miss her.

Have a great day everyone.

White Roses

I have seen some many beautiful roses this year.  These white roses are at a neighbor's house.  I just have to capture them on my camera.

My roses are still blooming.  I have several more buds.  I hope they have time to bloom.   If so, you will probably get a couple more pictures.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Sunset

This was the sunset on Sunday night in SE Michigan.  It was just a perfect sunset for taking pictures.  There was such pretty colors.  I wish I had got outside a few minutes early when the colors were higher in the sky.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.

The Rest of Trestle Park

Here are the rest of the pictures.  I hope you enjoy looking through them.

This was a huge tree.  The branches were as large as some tree.  I will try to get a picture of it once the leaves are off the trees.

Trestle Park

Friday afternoon, I took my camera to Trestle Park for a short walk.  I walked around for 30 minutes.  It was a fantastic day and just perfect for an afternoon walk.

The roses are still in bloom and I was able to get some pictures, along with some of the creek.  I will post the roses now and the creek ones later.

Welcome

I love taking pictures and I hope to post lots of pictures for you to enjoy.  I have two digital cameras and my son will tell you I always have one with me.  You just never know when you might need to take a picture.

I am not a great photographer by no means but it is fun capturing some on the camera.

There are pictures of my flower bed from this summer.
