My In-Laws and son were here visiting last weekend.  I just had to pull out my camera.  I wanted to take more pictures but my son gets a little cranky when the camera is around.  I won't post all of them but here are some.

As always, I was taking the pictures and thereforth wasn't in any of them.

My Roses

I came home from my first day of work after the summer break and I had several roses in bloom.  I don't know I haven't seen them but any way. 

I just had to cut them and bring them in.  And of course, I took pictures.

Flowers around my patio

While I had my camera out, I took a couple of pictures of some of my flowers.  They are growing quite well.  I hope the towers get thicker with flowers as the summer goes along.

First Roses of the Summer

My roses have so many blossoms on them.  It is going to be a good year for them.  I took some pictures today.  I hope you enjoy them.

Son's First Half-Marathon

Instead of waiting I decided to go ahead and post the pictures.  My son is 21 and in the last year has gotten back into the gym.  He is in the best shape of his life and that is some thing since he played sports year round in high school. 

He has run several 5K and 10Ks but this was his first half.  He decided to run the Dexter/Ann Arbor Half.  Everyone says it is a tough run.  His goal was to stay at 7 minutes a mile.  He ran a little under that.  He placed 112 out of 2600.  I am extremely proud of him.

Photo A Day

I have posted the list for the month in case some one wants to follow it but I am not going to make it.  My migraines are giving me problems and I just need to simplify a few things so I will not be doing it this month again.  I do have some pictures of my son's first half marathon and I will try to post those later today.

Something that starts with "F" -- I have two pictures today.  First is the fountain in the middle of my flower bed and then there is the flowers around my fountain.

Yesterday, I had a migraine.  I took the picture but I never got around to posting it.  This is the front of my van.  It is very broken, thanks to a deer.  Hopefully, it will get fixed this summer.

And now I am all caught up.  Hopefully I will stay that way.

In my Cup - well actually it is a glass.  After working all day, I came home and had a glass of wine with dinner.  The glass looks really dirty but it isn't.  It must be a lot of finger prints.

This is really good....Several things came to mind for this but I decided on the sky.  We have been having such nice weather here in Michigan.  I just thought it was perfect for this.

Morning Ritual - I have my morning down.  I usually don't have any extra time, especially right now.  With the start of spring, my bedroom window came open.  I love sleeping with the window up.  However, right now the morning are chilly, so I don't usually want to get out from under the covers.  The picture is of my bathroom counter.  It has a lot of things on it but I try to keep it straightened.

I never did get this picture posted yesterday.  Sorry about that.

May 1st  was "I bought this".  Well, it was accidental that a package came in the mail.  It was some copic refills and a couple of new markers.  So when I took them out of the box, I immediately took a picture of them.

Tiny - My pictures for April 9th is a tiny look at spring.  I am beginning to wonder if spring will ever get here.

April 8th - Photo A Day

I skipped April 7th.  I really didn't know what to take a picture of.  So April 8th is "On Your Plate".  I spent a lot of time in the kitchen today and I should have taken more pictures.  Maybe next time.

This is an Italian pasta salad I made for a friend.

It was still chilly last week but it was sunny.  Spring is on the way.  I can't wait.

Something Good - It is always good when my African Violets bloom.  This one has bloomed in a while so I was happy to see it full of blooms.

April 4th - Photo A Day

I had some really productive days  last week while I was off work.  When the 4th came around and it said "This Happened Today", I had the perfect thing.  My robo vacuum.  All of my floors were vacuumed.

This is it recharging after all of his hard work.

April 3rd - Photo A Day

Something beginning with A....My kitchen is accented with apples so this one was easy.  I may find something else but it has been a stressful day so I don't know if I will get any more time today.

I didn't post my picture yesterday.  I took this picture early in the day but I was really looking for something else.  I never got around to finding it.

This is a mini album that I keep on my desk.  I made it several years ago, but I just love it and it brings back memories of spending a day with friends just having fun.

April 1st - Photo A Day

Today's theme was play.  I just had to take pictures of my two favorite things to do to just relax.  My computer and my craft table.

I am hoping to get some stamping done in just a little while.  A dear friend is planning on coming over, so it will be a fun afternoon to play.

April Photo A Day

Today is April 1st and time to start the Photo A Day again.  I am determined to get the whole month done.  I love this project and I really want to do the whole month.  I already have my pictures for today and I will post them later.

Behind again

I am behind again on my photo a day.  So I think I am going to quit for now.  I will pick it up again when I have more time.  Also the weather is getting warmer so I want to get out and that means more general pictures.  Hope to see you soon.

Photo A Day - March 2nd

On to day 2.  On The Idea Room the schedule called for "Morning".  I really wasn't sure what to do for this one.  Then it dawns on me, this week, I am driving my son's truck.  It is unusual for us to switch vehicles so I decided to take a picture of the truck while it was in my driveway.

I Made This was right up my alley.  I went straight to my craft table.  This was sitting on it waiting to be posted over on the stamping page, so I thought I would use it for both pages.

Photo A Day - March 1st

I am behind posting pictures.  I can't believe it is the 8th and I haven't posted one picture yet.  I will try to get all of the pictures posted tonight and tomorrow.  I am going to do two photo a day calendars this month.  I hope I will be able keep up.  I will be using the Idea Room schedule and the Fatmumslim schedule.

So the two pictures for March 1st should be a clock and L is for....

I took two clocks.  One from my kitchen and the other the digital clock on my night stand.

The schedule over at fatmumslim says the day should be "L is for..."  I had to use my laptop for this.  After all that is the one thing I use the most.

Another one

I yet another one.  There are so many out there.  Now I don't know which one to follow.  Maybe I will play around with them and see how they work out.  Here is the one I found on The Idea Room.

I also a site 365project.  I want to look into this.  It could be a great way to store the pictures and if any of my friends or family wanted to keep up with the pictures they could.  I will let you know what I find out about the site.

Another Photo A Day

I found another site that has a photo a day list.  It is on iheartfaces.  I don't know if I can keep up with two sites or not, but I may try.  I really want to use my camera more.

Here is the list for iheartfaces.  I wish they had an explanation for some of these.  I will see how the month goes.

Photo A Day

Here is the March List.  I am going to get back to taking a picture every day.  I am even going to try once a week to take some pictures of something not on the list.

1. L is for…: Pick something that begins with the letter L and snap it. Love, light… whatever you please.
2. I made this!: Are you a clever clog? Take a photo of something you made. It could be a mess, dinner, something crafty or anything that you made yourself.
3. Key: Take a photo of a key. Be as creative as you can/like.
4. Lucky: Take a photo of something that you use for luck, or something that makes you feel lucky. Or how ever you want to interpret luck!
5. Under: Get down and take a photo of ‘under’. It could be something hiding underneath something, or your perspective from under something.
6. Chair: We see handfuls of them everyday, so why not take a photo?
7. Fear: What are you afraid of? What does fear look like to you?
8. Favourite: Take a photo of something that is your favourite: food, person, place, thing, book…
9. Faceless self-portrait: Can you take a self-portrait without your face in it? Perhaps it’s your hands, your feet or some other part of you?
10. I want…: What do you want in your life? Shoot it.
11. Important: Take a photo of something important in your day today.
12. In the distance: What is that thing that you see far away? A bird? A plane? A small child running away? Capture it as best you can.
13. Sound: Sound is a hard one to shoot, can you do it? What’s something you heard today?
14. Tasty: This is the perfect excuse to eat something particularly delicious today, right?
15. Explore: Take a walk and explore where you are today.
16. 9 o’clock: What are you doing at 9am or 9pm today. Share it with us.
17. Green: It’s St Patrick’s Day – find something green.
18. Shoes: {charity prompt} Take a photo of yours or somebody’s else.

My son

With my son away at college, I don't get to take as many pictures of him as I once did.  He is so glad.  When he was in high school I had my camera with me constantly.   So now he hates when I pick my camera up.

This was the weekend before Valentine's.  He came home to surprise me.  I was sick and felt miserable, so it was a great surprise.
