Yesterday, the object for the day was the sun. It was cloudy and there was no sun. In fact, by 3:00 in the afternoon, we were having sleet and snow. Today was no better, but I just didn't feel like taking any pictures.
Today was Looking Through. I think I know what I want the picture to be but I didn't feel good and I didn't have the time. I am hoping to do it tomorrow. It just depends on how I feel in the morning after my nerve block.
I apologize for not getting the pictures taken or posted today, but I will check up. I have enjoyed doing the Photo A Day. My pictures may not be great but I enjoyed pulling out my cameras and getting some use of it.
Hope everyone has enjoyed the pictures and that you have a good week.

Photo A Day - Day 26
26. Together: There are many definitions for together.
One is: In or into a single group, mass, or place. Take a photo of
together, whichever definition you’d like to use.
I didn't have any thing for this one. I want to do hands linked together but I just didn't get the picture taken. Who knows I might take it tonight.
In the meantime, I took a shot of my shoes together. Stretching the idea but it still works.

Photo A Day - Day 24
I have taken pictures but I haven't had time to post them. I will post all of them now and hopefully I will stay current.
24. Stripes: Look for stripes in your everyday. They could be in the zebra crossing on the road, or in your outfit or somewhere else.
As I have said before, this was hard. I really didn't have any stripes. I finally just took one of one of my scarves. Stripes don't have to be straight, right?
After that I saw my left over candy canes. I even made them into a heart for Valentine's Day.

Today's photo was a corner. We are getting a new performing arts building at work. I stopped by the construction site after work to get a shot of a couple of the corners.

Photo A Day - Day 21
21. What you do: Do you go to school? Train elephants
at the circus? Write at home? Play mum to your kids? Act as CEO to a big
business? Paint in your spare time? Dance when no one is looking? Take a
photo of what you do {something that makes you ‘you’} and share it.
School was out today so there was no work for me. I really was looking forward to having a day off. I have been working 7 days a week for about 3 months. I was hoping to have a nice relaxing day. I did need to get a few things done but I just wanted some down time.
These pictures are just some of the things I did today. The first one is one of my African Violets. I have quite a few of them and I love watching them grow and bloom. I water all of them on Monday. If you look closely you will see water on the leaves. I try not to get water on the leaves but it does happen sometimes.
It was extremely cold today. The high today was only 12. It is currently 8 and it feels like -4 with the wind chill. I really didn't want to go out in it but I need to pick up some groceries. So I braved the cold.
My husband loves marshmallows. So today, I took some with some red melting chocolate and sprinkles and made him a small treat. I took two pictures. One with the sprinkles on the top and the other with them down.
I also did some laundry today so I thought I would share that with you.
Then I also had to take a shot of my craft table. I like to stamp every chance I get. I didn't get the time to stamp today, but I hope I will before the week is over.
Well that is just part of my day. I hope you enjoyed a small look into part of my day.

Photo A Day - Day 20
20. Something you saw: Go about your day with eyes wide open and take a photo of something you saw.
As you can probably tell, I have a thing for sunsets. I love catching the sky at its best. I loved the colors tonight. I thought I had missed the lights from the parking lot. But it was extremely cold and I didn't take the time to check. Next time, I will do better.

Photo A Day - Day 19
Once again, this was hard for me. I finally just took a picture of my dinner. It was Crabmeat Soup. It is a favorite around here during the winter.

Photo A Day - Day 18
Day 18 is a shadow. I really had a hard time coming up with a shadow. I finally settled on a shadow of my poinsettia.
Thanks for looking.
Thanks for looking.
Photo A Day - Day 17
Sorry, I didn't mean to be late posting this but I have had a migraine since Tuesday. I feel lucky to get the pictures taken.
17. Ready: Is it a photo of your dinner being ready? Or you ready to catch the bus? Or something else. It’s a toughy – but it will get your mind thinking!
I decided to do READY FOR SPRING. I stopped at a park on my way to the doctor's office yesterday. The pond was frozen, so I thought it was perfect for ready for Spring. I wanted a thermometer to go with it but I just didn't feel like looking around for one. Hopefully you will get the point.
The shadow on the fourth and fifth pictures would work for Day 18, but I will use something else.
I hope you have a great weekend.

Photo A Day - Day 16
Today's photo was suppose to be "two things". I came up with a couple of things. I hope you enjoy looking through the pictures.
I just had to take one of my feet. I am always barefooted, so this was perfect.
We haven't had a lot of snow yet this winter so my mitten are still sitting on my dresser. Maybe we will get some snow soon.
Breakfast at work on Thursday includes pancakes on a stick. Plain and Blueberry. So while my fellow worker was traying them up, I snapped a shot of them.
Two packs of gum by the front door.
This is the last one. I love snowmen. I put most of them up after Christmas, but I left these two out. You will probably see them again before they get put up.

Photo A Day - Day 15
15. An ordinary moment: Choose an ordinary moment and
capture it. Is it you grabbing your daily coffee? Or playing with the
kids? Or something that you do often and consider it as kinda ordinary?
This one was hard. I just didn't have any ideas. But then I got up this morning and started getting ready for work and noticed my bathroom counter. I hate clutter. I like to keep every thing straightened. The exception to the rule is my bathroom counter. I am always leaving things laying on it that I will want to pick up and use again.
The other picture for the day is my bed. I like to make my bed first thing every morning. It is just my normal thing to do, so I thought it would be perfect for today's picture. My bed isn't any thing special, it has no head or foot board but it is comfortable. I brought the quilt/bedspread in Pigeon Forge, TN at Lil' Dolly's.
I hope you are enjoying the daily pictures as much as I am coming up with them. This has been so much fun.
Hope you have a great evening.

Photo A Day - Day 14
14. Something yellow: Find something yellow in your travels today and take a photo.
This was hard. My first thought was that I would get a shot of the eggs at school. But before I could get the picture taken, the kids showed up and then there wasn't any left. Then I meant to get a shot of the banana peppers on the salad bar at lunch. Well, I got busy and I didn't get that shot either.
So then I came home and started looking around the house. I had a bottle of ICE on the bathroom sink so I grabbed a shot of it. It doesn't look as yellow as it should.
Then I have a vase of daisy on my craft table (silk flowers) and there is a couple of yellow ones in there.
And also there is the yellow M&M man on my keyring.
Tomorrow is an ordinary moment. I don't have a clue what to do. I will come up with something I am sure. I wish my son was home, I am could get him playing on the computer or sleeping. Both of which he does every day.
If you want to see the original list, just click here.

Once again, I didn't get my picture posted last night. I thought I would have a bunch of pictures for yesterday, but I had to work so I didn't get a chance to play around with the photo a day idea.
Yesterday was circles. Anything shaped in a circle. I came up with my steering wheel and the wreath on my front door.
As I have mentioned before, we are huge University of Alabama fans. I made this wreath back before football season started. Since Alabama made it to the BSC championship I left the wreath up through Christmas. I will probably be taking it down in a few weeks when I made a new Valentine's Day wreath.

Photo A Day - Day 12
I didn't get my picture posted yesterday. Sorry about that.
12. Surprise: I love when I stumble across coins when I’m walking. It’s a lovely surprise. That would be a lucky photo for me. Can you think of a way to capture surprise?
This one was a hard one for me. I wish I could have done it during the week, maybe I would have had more time to find something different. I settled for the sky. It was unusually warm for Michigan today so I was able to be outside with out freezing.
I hope you enjoy the picture.

Photo A Day - Day 11
11. Water: Perhaps it’s the beach, a river, water in a glass, the bath {keep it PG!} or even the rain.
I had several ideas for this day. I meant to get a sink full of dirty dishes at work. Or run out to one of the area ponds and get a shot of it frozen. Then I woke up to rain this morning. Since I got to work before daylight I thought I would get a pretty good picture of the rain hitting my windshield. I shot didn't come out as well as I thought it would but I am posting it any way.
I also took a picture of my fish tank. It is a 100 gallon tank so this is a small portion of it. We breed algae-eaters. The forks are what we use to feed them. I feed them cucumbers and celery. The next time I feed them I will try to remember to take a picture of them eating.
I don't have any ideas on what to do for tomorrow's picture. It is suppose to be surprise. Maybe I will riding around and see what I can find after all it is suppose to be 55 degrees tomorrow. I am enjoying coming up with the pictures.
Hope you all have a good weekend.

Photo A Day - Day 10
10. One o’clock: Take a photo of whatever you’re doing
in the hour between one and two. It could be in the middle of the night
{you party animal, you!} or during the day.
This was a fairly simple one for me. I work as a cook at our local school. We cook means for K-12 which comes out to about 400 breakfasts and 1200 lunches. But it is a fun job because of the kids. When you watch them grown up you really get attached to them.
I get off work at 1:00. It is usually a little later than that as you can see from the clock. You will also notice the digital part of the clock says 13:11 which is 1:11 where as the actual clock never got changed from day light savings.
I know picture is odd but I thought it was perfect for day 10. I am sure there will be other odds as the month goes along.
Have a great day.

Paper.....This is something I made with Paper. Just in time for Valentine's Day. It isn't a great picture. I will try to get better with the daily shots. I already know what I am going to do for tomorrow's pictures.
For more paper projects, you can also looking at the stamping page. Or to see the Photo A Day list, check out my post from earlier today.
See you later.

Photo A Day
I can never think of what to take pictures of. So I am going to try this. I am behind but I will try to catch up. To learn more you can check out this link.
Here is an explanation of each day....
1. Today: It’s the first day of the new year, so take a photo of how you spent the day.
2. Something new: Take a photo of something new. Something physical, the sunrise, a new attitude. Be creative!
3. Heart: Take a photo of a heart, or a heart shape.
4. The view from here: With many people around the world on holidays, it’s a great way to see where people are. Take a picture of your view from where ever you are.
5. Movement: Get moving and take a photo. You could take a photo of cars whizzing by, somebody jumping or you could even take a run and take photos as you’re jogging along.
6. Mine: Take a photo of something that’s yours. Perhaps it’s a thing, something you’re proud of or a person you call ‘yours’.
7. Street: Take a photo of a streetscape.
8. Something beginning with ‘T’: Take a photo of something today starting with the letter ‘T’.
9. Paper: Take a photo of something made from paper. Perhaps it’s someone reading the newspaper, or it could be wrapping paper. Think outside the square.
10. One o’clock: Take a photo of whatever you’re doing in the hour between one and two. It could be in the middle of the night {you party animal, you!} or during the day.
11. Water: Perhaps it’s the beach, a river, water in a glass, the bath {keep it PG!} or even the rain.
12. Surprise: I love when I stumble across coins when I’m walking. It’s a lovely surprise. That would be a lucky photo for me. Can you think of a way to capture surprise?
13. Circle: Look as you go about today for things shaped in circles. Is it the tyres on a bus? A big sign? Or something else?
14. Something yellow: Find something yellow in your travels today and take a photo.
15. An ordinary moment: Choose an ordinary moment and capture it. Is it you grabbing your daily coffee? Or playing with the kids? Or something that you do often and consider it as kinda ordinary?
16. Two things: Look for things in pairs today. Is it a lovely old couple that you see from behind? Or the salt and pepper shakers sitting on the bench? Find two things and take a photo.
17. Ready: Is it a photo of your dinner being ready? Or you ready to catch the bus? Or something else. It’s a toughy – but it will get your mind thinking!
18. Shadow: Find a shadow and shoot it. It could be your own, or a shadow of something else. Shadows look great with a black and white filter over the top {just sayin!}.
19. Delicious: What’s delicious to you? Is it the chubby cheeks of your toddler, the hunk at the gym or a cake you plan on eating for afternoon tea?
20. Something you saw: Go about your day with eyes wide open and take a photo of something you saw.
21. What you do: Do you go to school? Train elephants at the circus? Write at home? Play mum to your kids? Act as CEO to a big business? Paint in your spare time? Dance when no one is looking? Take a photo of what you do {something that makes you ‘you’} and share it.
22. Corner: It could be a sharp corner of a building, a corner of an artwork, a corner of your home or something else. Corners are everywhere. Shoot one.
23. Electric: This could be a simple photo of your toaster {but get creative} or something else electric.
24. Stripes: Look for stripes in your everyday. They could be in the zebra crossing on the road, or in your outfit or somewhere else.
25. Landscape: Step back and take a photo of a landscape near you. Or even take a little trip just for the photo. Would be nice to explore your town for a beautiful photo.
26. Together: There are many definitions for together. One is: In or into a single group, mass, or place. Take a photo of together, whichever definition you’d like to use.
27. Sun: Whether the sun is out in full force, or hiding behind the clouds today – take a photo of it. Or you could get creative and take a photo of sunlight or some other interpretation.
28. Through: Take a photo of looking through something – through the window, through the gate, through the trees… whatever you please.
29. Grow: People do it, plants do it too… get creative and take a photo of something that grows.
30. Down: Is it looking down or something that makes you feel down? Interpret it however you like.
31. Yourself: Take a photo of yourself. Or something that represents you.
I will post the picture every day. So look for the post each day that says "Photo A Day"

Flowers in the middle of Winter
I am going to try and post something on every page today. It is cold outside and I really didn't want to go out so I looked around the house. I had picked up this flowers at the grocery store and I thought everyone would enjoy it during the cold winter.
I might see more of them later in the week.
Have a great week everyone.
